Identify and Eliminate SPAM
The emSorter Difference
Intuitive Classification

emSorter's unique categorization abilities define SPAM as a mixture of different content which is currently of no interest to you by using a combination of filters and a "smart search" functionality to classify your incoming emails. The results are stored in categories that adapt over time to suit your interests: new interests are added and old, unused and unwanted interests are dropped.
Secure & Reliable Lists

emSorter can identify and trap bogus emails as well as SPAM, using highly secured "white lists" and "black lists" which are more reliable for genuine and trusted content. Content from these sources can optionally be classified to form part of the overall categorization process.
Information Sharing

emSorter allows you to import and share category information from others which gives you a head-start on categorizing your email and beating SPAM. By sharing classification information with others of similar interest, you benefit from the definitions gathered by a multitude of sources.
Other Anti-SPAM Programs
Limited scope:
Other available anti-SPAM solutions assume that all emails not specifically identified by you as SPAM must be wanted emails, even if emails arrive containing information that is of no interest to you. Current anti-SPAM software uses filters which take a sample of text you are interested in, known as "ham", and store it in a corpus. Incoming email is compared against the stored "ham" and everything that doesn't match is assumed to be SPAM. SPAM text is stored in it's own corpus.
Existing anti-SPAM program's systems work well for individuals, but can fall short if you, for example:
- Work in more than one specific field, or involved in research on a variety of subjects
- Change interests or have multiple interests over time
- Use "white lists" and "black lists" to override the SPAM detection and it creates security problems
Not-so-trusted lists:
Existing anti-SPAM solutions allow you to override the SPAM filtering with "white lists" and "black lists". Trusted sources can be placed on a "white list". Conversely, you can place a sender on a "black list" if you want to disregard everything sent from that source. Although seductively simple in their approach, these lists open the doors to Phishers, bogus email, security problems and ultimately compromise the entire process.
